Spring 2018 Dean's List Announced
A total of 1,621 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2018 semester of the 2017-2018 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. The letter grade "B" earns 3 quality points per credit, and the grade "A" earns 4 quality points per credit.

Student art featured in "Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition 2018"
Artwork by many student artists will be on display in SUNY Oneonta's Martin-Mullen Art Gallery for the "Annual Student Juried Art Exhibition 2018" in the Fine Arts Center from April 5 to May 12. A reception for the artists along with live music and food is planned for Thursday, April 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. Featured art works were chosen from an open jury process and works entered by the art faculty. Painting, drawing, sculpture, digital print, digital video, and an assortment of mixed media make up this year's offerings. All are invited to attend the reception and the exhibition.

CCU student mentors host TEAL Youth Day
Coastal Carolina University student mentors of the Dalton and Linda Floyd Family Mentoring Program hosted their mentees on CCU's campus on Friday, March 23, to give a real college experience to Horry County elementary and middle school students. The day was also meant to motivate those students to consider higher education in their own futures.

History students see the sights in Europe
In a whirlwind, multi-country trip, students enrolled in a European History course called The Norman Conquest spent spring break in Norway, England and Scotland visiting countless historic sites. They listened to lectures, examined artifacts in museums including viking ships and the Rosetta Stone, took long train rides through beautiful countryside, saw medieval walls and churches, and visited the White Cliffs of Dover and Westminster Abbey, to name a few popular sites. They were accompanied by their professor, Dr. April Harper.

Art students capture Singapore over spring break
Eleven SUNY Oneonta art students traveled over spring break to the far-away island-country of Singapore - a contemporary art destination in Asia - to further their studies and experience new cultures. While on the faculty-led trip, the students attended lectures at LASALLE College of the Arts, visited renowned museums and photographed the city. They also tried exotic new food, enjoyed the tropical climate, and met people of diverse ethnicities, including Chinese, Malay and Indian.

Students Present at Psychology Conference, Win Award
Continuing the strong tradition of student research at Saint Rose, a dozen students will present projects at the Eastern Psychological Association meeting in Philadelphia this March. The Department of Psychology will have 12 students presenting the results of nine research projects. In addition, one of the student research presentations - "The Influence of Legal Knowledge on Retaliation" - was selected for a Psi Chi International Honor Society Research Award. The five students behind that presentation will be recognized at a special awards banquet at the meeting and will receive a $400 research award. The awards are highly competitive with both undergraduate and graduate students vying for the same recognition. Saint Rose has won 28 awards from the Eastern Psychological Association for projects since 2004. The students and their presentations are: "The Influence of Legal Knowledge on Retaliation" (Winner of the Psi Chi Research Award) - Abigail Koller '17, Madison Taylor '18, Olivia Harmon '19, Karissa Birthwright '19, and Alex Myers '20. Star Students Featured in Crane School of Music Honors Recital
SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music will highlight the talent and artistry of its top students in the annual Student Honors Recital, on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 p.m., in the Sara M. Snell Music Theater. This special concert will feature students selected by professors to represent their respective performance areas, including brass, guitar/harp, percussion, piano, strings, woodwinds and voice.
